5 Month Old Pics - Set1 (Mommy's Faves)

Sunday I turned 5 months old. Unfortunately I had a cold on my birthday weekend. During the day I was a happy camper, but at night I was very sad and didn't like sleeping. Mommy's good friend Miss Twila came by for a visit and brought her nice camera and took a few pics of me for my birthday. I had just finished a bath and put on my blue jammies and right when Mommy propped me up my tummy rumbled and whoops I spit up on my pj's. That's those blue spots you see in the picture. Hee-Hee. But, spit-up won't stop me, I still a cutie-pie! These two pics are Mommy's favorites.
Even though I'm not "smiling" in this one, Mommy likes it because I'm trying to explain to her that I would be taking better pics if she would let me chew on the giraffe she's using to try and get me to smile. Enjoy all my pics! Love y'all - Ethan;)

5 Month Old Pics - Set 2

I was trying to tell them a story here, but Miss Twila just kept on snapping.
One of these days Mommy and Daddy are going to be fast enough to record me when I start talking like this. I have alot to say and I know all my friends and families want to hear:)

See... what had happened was...

This one was kind of blurry but Mommy couldn't resist this one w/ me laughing. Daddy and I have fun laughing all the time.

5 Month OId Pics- Set 3

Chilled back and relaxed

Jitterbug Jumparoo

Hey Family and Friends! I wanted you all to see some pics and videos of my new toy. It's a jumparoo and I LOVE IT! I've jumped so much I've even almost fallen asleep in it. It's so fun.. I get to dance and exercise my legs and arms w/ the music playing and I'm just at the right eye level to watch Mattie Lou scoot around the house. In the picture below you can see she is sniffimg out my jumparoo to make sure it's okay for me to be in it. She's such a good doggy, I can't wait to be old enough to really play with her. I've attached 2 videos, so check it out. In the second, Mommy thinks my feet are moving so fast I'm already learning how to jitterbug. She told me my Gautreau family, will be so proud of me. Enjoy my jumping! Love y'all -- Ethan!

Baby (LSU) Tiger!

Here's our little man, supporting his LSU Tigers at daycare. This weekend he was ALL LSU, especially since our other Tigers (AU) were off:). Ethan even wore gold pj's on Saturday night! Unlike Mama and Daddy, he had complete confidence that the Tigers were going to pull it out and dosed off in the 3rd quarter. Ha! We'll be geared up in our LSU attire again for the big Arkansas game when we're in Lousiana for Thanksgiving, so stayed tuned for a few more pics around that time.

Bath Time

Ethan LOVES bath time. Here he is telling me how excited he is to get in the tub.
He's also really discovered his tongue over the last week or so and is making smacking sounds. Usually this is followed by a ton of bubbles.

Sticking out his tongue again after his bath. This left arm extending out from towel indicates he's getting ready for full out aerobic exercise. Arms waving and legs kicking like crazy. Immediately after his bath he is super energized, but once he's dressed, it's crash time. Talk about from one extreme to the next. We'll have to video him post-bath soon. It's hilarious.

We thought maybe we could get a few more 4 month old pics after his bath time, but as you can see he got fixated on the bunny here. He's looking at it so intently. Don't you wish you knew what he was thinking?

Now, he wants it. Can I hold it Daddy?! While thinking, ooh I bet it tastes so good. Ha ha!!

Fussy Britches;)

Every photo shoot seems to have a dramatic ending. Here are the early stages.. ha ha.. or he was just showing off his strong leg muscles.
In picture 2 here, not only is our baby able to squat, but take notice he's working upper and lower muscle strength w/ a left arm bicep curl. Seems like the bunny is trying to get out of the way. HA!

And Stage 3 we're aggrivated. Please take note of the red lines in his forehead. I'm taking it as clear evidence of some Cajun blood in his system.

As some of you know, the purple and gold Tigers won the game and b/c of that Ethan sported his LSU colors at daycare on Tuesday. I had to get evidence to show my family, but he was not at all happy that Mommy put him down.

Around 2 months old when Ethan was able to start responding to us, one day he was upset and in trying to console him, Chris says, "Are you being a Fussy Britches?" Kind of random I know, but for whatever reason it stuck. Well this picture is a clear definition of Mr. Fussy Britches. I think its b/c he wanted Mama's arms. But, Chris thinks it's b/c he was dressed in LSU colors. I beg to differ. HA!

4 months old

I love this one. It's like he's saying "Hug Me". He's started reaching out for Chris and I too. It's the best;).

On Monday night we finally attempted to take some 4 month old pics of Ethan. He wasn't too excited about it, but we got a few good ones. As you can see in some of them he's really reaching for things and wants everything to go in his mouth for a taste. He's drooling A LOT, and it's obvious his poor little gums are bothering him. Thankfully he's not fussing about it, but his little hands are in his mouth almost any chance he gets. Chris was able to record some more video of him a few nights ago, so we're hoping to get that downloaded and up on the blog for sure by the weekend. Enjoy!

Fall Daycare Pics

Each Fall and Spring Daycare will take pics of the children like school portraits. Here are Ethan's 1st Fall pics. We think they came out really well, despite the fact that Mom and Dad forgot about them a he went to daycare that day in a simple white onesie. Thankfully the photographer got him to smile and they turned out great!

Photo Shoot w/ Daddy

We're trying to do better at taking "family pics", so here's a starting point a few pics w/ Me and Daddy. People say I look like he did when he was my age. Mommy loves this pic of her 2 sweethearts.
I tried to tell Mommy I was getting hungry, so I'm demonstrating that here by trying to eat Daddy's fingers.

I'm definitely not short on "sugar", b/c they kiss me ALL THE TIME!

Most of the time I like to stand vs. sit so this is me trying to stand up in Daddy's lap. I far exceed Mommy and Daddy in the cardio area. Ha ha! I'll be crawling in no time.

Ok, parentals, I am officially DONE w/ these pics. Give me milk, please! I'M STARVING!

See y'all next month -- Ethan:)

Super Duper Photo Shoot

I did such a great job taking pics that Mom had to post a few more, especially since EVERYONE (aka Nanna D) has been begging Mommy to post some so my Louisiana family can see me.
I think I was trying to dance in this one. Or I was saying "Geaux Tigers!" b/c Lsu is 5-0.
Hee-hee..Mommy's so funny.

After 7,654 pictures taken of me, I was starting to get a little tired and gave Mommy a hint by talking real loud and lifting my bottom up off the seat.

She didn't take the hint so I had to give out a "waah". But, I'm still a cutie even when I cry, right?!

3 month photo shoot -- Take 2

One night after bath time we decided to try our 3 month old photo shoot again. In this pic, he's saying "You want me to do what? I'm ready for my late night snack, Mom."
I assured him he would get his snack in a little while and he got excited about taking pics. This photo shoot was a success!

He's developing such a precious personality. In this one he's looking at Chris who was behind me talking to him.

This is fun! Thanks to the pillow Aunt Dana gave me I can sit up better and that makes me happy. Don't know why Mom didn't think about this pillow sooner:)

Here they got me in mid sentence. I'm really starting to like the sound of my own voice. I say "Aeh, aeh, aeh" all the time.
